Typical Terms and Conditions:-

5. The interest for the first EMI will be computed starting on the day the loan is booked and ending on the payment due date. Any questions about CashBack or merchant payback must be submitted 180 days after the transaction date.
6. Only credit cards with a "regular" status are eligible for EasyEMI. It cannot be applied to cards that have a block put on them because of things like payment due, reported lost cards, ongoing upgrades, etc. Any EASYEMI purchases made on these credit cards will be fully debited and become payable on the card account.
7. The consumer receives email or SMS updates on their EASYEMI booking status, such as successful or rejected. To find out the reason for the rejection, CM should give the PhoneBanking team a call. The consumer will be required to pay according to the statement in the event of refusal.

10. When completing transactions at the merchant website or shop, EASYEMI must be used. This is not a process of backend conversion. When a merchant website offers HDFC Bank EASYEMI, the customer must choose the "HDFC Bank" EMI option and the necessary tenure on the merchant website's payment page. In the event that the cardholder did not select the "HDFC Bank" EMI option or if there are technical difficulties with the merchant's end that prevent the transaction from being sent to the Bank as an EMI, the Bank shall not be held accountable or liable for converting those transactions.
11. Before using your HDFC Bank credit card for a transaction at a merchant's physical location (a.k.a. POS transaction), please confirm with the store that the EASYEMI feature is available. Only swipes made on an HDFC Bank or Plutus swipe machine are eligible for EASYEMI in POS transactions. Before swiping the card, please make sure the retailer is aware of your intention to use HDFC Bank EASYEMI and the tenure selection. The EASYEMI duration, Transaction Amount, Merchant Payback, Loan Amount, EASYEMI Finance Charges (% on reducing debt every year), and EMI value will all be shown on the charge slip that is generated after the swipe. Kindly notify the merchant right once if the tenure is missing or appears incorrectly. When a merchant swipes incorrectly—for example, by using a different bank's swipe machine or by swiping as a regular transaction rather than an EASYEMI transaction—HDFC Bank is not held accountable. Additionally, the Bank is not responsible for changing these incorrect transactions to EASYEMI transactions on the back end.
12. Before signing the charge slip, please make sure you have read all of the terms and charges listed on it. If cardholders disagree with the terms or charges, they may request that the merchant cancel the transaction. The charge slip will be considered "customer consent" for EASYEMI terms, conditions, and charges by the bank once the merchant settles a transaction.
13. 'Merchant Payback' may be applied at some merchants. The relevant manufacturer or merchant, not the issuing bank, is providing this. The "Loan amount" in these circumstances will be the Transaction Amount minus the Merchant Payback amount. To compute EMI, the 'Loan Amount' will be subject to EASYEMI Finance Charges.

17. HDFC Bank alone has the authority to approve EASYEMI. There are specific tenures available for the EASYEMI plan. The HDFC Bank Credit Card customer must repay the purchase price, interest, and processing fees within the specified time frame.
18. By contacting HDFC Bank Credit Cards' round-the-clock customer care, the EMI plan may be prematurely terminated. There will be "preclosure interest charges" (where applicable). Any repayment made by the merchant at the time of loan booking will be deducted pro rata in the event of preclosure. The credit card account will not be closed as a result of any payment put into it that exceeds the EASYEMI, nor will it be considered payment towards the amount accessed through the EMI program. Without any notice, HDFC Bank retains the right to change the pre-payment fees at any time. The cardholder will be responsible for any changes made to the charges.
19. Customers can contact the 24-hour HDFC Bank Credit Card Customer Service line to opt out of monthly installment payments and cancel the EASYEMI transaction. Customers may only cancel if they give a call within four days of the transaction date. EMI debits will be credited upon cancellation, and convenience will not be reversed. The initial loan amount and merchant repayment will be fully debited (and become payable). An EASYEMI transaction that has been canceled on the card cannot be reversed.
20. If the minimum amount owed is not paid for three consecutive months, the EMI will be closed and the principal will remain unpaid. The interest for the days leading up to the closure and the pre-closure charges will be charged to the cardholder's credit card account and will show up in the monthly statement that follows. HDFC Bank has the right to request that the combined overdue amounts be paid back immediately.
21. Should the cardholder fall behind on payments, the EMI will be closed and the principle will remain unpaid. The interest for the days leading up to the closure as well as the pre-closing costs will be taken out of the cardholder's credit card account and will show up in the next month's statement. HDFC Bank has the right to request that the combined overdue amounts be paid back immediately.
22. The amount owed under the EASYEMI plan may be charged as a single transaction for the cardholder if the credit card is closed before all installments have been made. HDFC Bank has the right to request that the combined outstanding amount be paid back immediately.
23. HDFC Bank should be contacted with any questions or concerns about payments made using the EASYEMI option; retailers will not be held responsible in any way for these matters, If the EMI conversion occurs on the date of statement generation, the first installment will be billed in the following month.
